The plot of the book is about a young women. Alex is a thirty- year old art gallery assistant and she is in love with her boss, but he is not in love with her. Eventually she find out, that Brad is not the person, that she thought he is.
It?s usual day for Alex, she is again late to work, but when she come to a gallery, she see a lot of paparazzi in front of the gallery. Brad tells Alex that something strange happened that some paintings in the gallery are fake. It?s a scandal and the journalist want to ask some questions. Alex and Brad are escaping from the gallery and are going to the country side. Alex is very happy, that she can spend a few days alone with Brad. But in this three days, that they are spending in a country side, a lot of things happen. One of them is, that Brad tells Alex, that he will have to fire her. The next day Brad?s nephew come, because his mum and dad are having a problems. And this little boy Christopher, Brad?s nephew stay with them for the next two days. He is very afraid, because there is a storm outside, and Alex try to cheer him up with a story about earth children. Christopher love the story and Alex found out, that she could be a great writer. The next day, Christopher and Alex go to a supermarket to buy a christmas tree. In the store, they meet Barry, Alex boyfriend. He decide to go with them, but in the way they also meet Alex friend Diana, and they all decide to go to the Brad?s house. When they come home, there is Brad and together they decide to do a little christmas party. Meanwhile they are having a party, Christopher runs in and show them a picture that he did. There wouldn?t be any problem, if the picture had not be drawn by Brad before. Brad is angry about Christopher, and he sends everybody home. When Brad did that, Alex find out, what a selfish person is Brad. She found out that she is not even in love with Brad, because she didn?t really know him. She found that everything that she really want is Barry, her boyfriend.
I like this book, because it?s realistic and it?s a love story. It?s about blind love and when you end reading it, you really make wonder what a true love is.
